Provided a process for developing business-class applications and creating highly visible and enterprise-level reports for stakeholders to gain insight into the business.

Our client needed a solution that could effectively and efficiently operate company systems by ensuring a robust and sustainable data architecture.

Solution

Created and maintained a data architecture that supports warehouse requirements which provide for expansion given budgetary constraints and availability of data and skilled resources. We also led the creating, enforced standards and procedures for bringing in application sources to ensure integration of system through data-warehouse design.

  • Ensure that each application database system data-load into the data-warehouse is operating properly and meets the company processing requirements.

Our client, a dental practice’s current way of assessing lab costs requires manually finding data points in QuickBooks and reviewing P&L statements to find the necessary information. Our client pulls paper invoices from Paychex and does manual calculations to isolate these expenditures. This process was said to be time-consuming and lead to errors and loss of information.

Solution

Create a report that accurately tracks lab costs, supplies overhead and labor costs. This report would also provide a collections comparison (comparing actual income in QuickBooks to Dentrix “collections”).

Key Deliverables

  • To ease the process of reviewing financials for our client by creating a custom-made dashboard based on data from their dental practice.
  • Provided the client with the ability to view and examine their lab costs, procedure costs, budgeted versus actual costs, patient data, and more regularly.

Our client was unable to see how many leads/candidates they were staffing were being placed into companies. Their data source did not have the ability to view this visually or in report form.

Solution

To extract their data by creating and developing an API connector for their data source, Bullhorn, allowing us entrance to then be able to examine, analyze, break down, and create a report on their data.

Key Deliverables

  • To ease the process of viewing their staffing placemen record in a single custom-made dashboard.
  • Created and developed our own API connector to extract their staffing data from their data source.
  • Enabled our client with the ability to interact, refresh, and be up-to-date with their staffing metrics.

Challenge

Our client’s current way of viewing their staffing data and reporting did not show them how long the process took from receiving a job order to finding the candidate to placing them in a company. Their internal staffing process and status changes within their data source were not reported.

Solution

Used our API connector to extract data from our client’s data source and implement hourly resolution pulls. We provided the ability for the client to see the status changes of a job order as well as the candidate’s statuses (includes phone screens, interviews, etc.) and where the candidate was placed.

Key Deliverables

  • Enhanced and developed our own API connector to extract their staffing data from their data source.
  • Enabled our client with the ability to interact, refresh, and be up-to-date with their staffing metrics.
  • Specifically created a funnel visual so the client was able to see how long their internal staffing process took from the job order to the placement.

Challenge

Our client needed a solution to assist with a complex Data Warehouse project in manufacturing, where the data was coming from many sources and formats in several geographic regions and needed to be assimilated into one reporting “source of truth”.

Solution

We created innovative tools for data acquisition and monitoring, which transformed the disparate data sources into one standardized data stream, and then built highly visible and enterprise level reports for stakeholders to watch key performance indicators (KPIs) of their manufacturing output.

Key Deliverables

  • Partnered with IT and business leaders to understand the target data sources at a deep level, and the KPIs that they were most interested in.
  • Built several innovative tools to extract data from disparate sources into Azure storage areas, transform the data into a standardized schema, and load it into the Data Warehouse.
  • Created a “Freshness” report so that any user could always know the freshness of any particular data source.
  • Aligned with BI team members to define consolidated report solutions that captured the most important KPIs, to replace data-specific reporting in silos of each individual data source.
