Provided a process for developing business-class applications and creating highly visible and enterprise-level reports for stakeholders to gain insight into the business.

KEY DELIVERABLES

  • Partnered with IT and business leaders to develop applications for internal use.
  • Aligned with BI team members to define development specifications and created data loads and reports that were high quality while ensuring their ability to automatically refresh the report more easily.
  • Created the necessary SQL objects/models to support a range of ad-hoc and standard-reports/dashboard in Power BI, Tableau and Excel.
  • Frequently responded to customer/stakeholder’s feature requests and feedback.
  • Responsible for all the ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) Process from various data sources using SSIS packages.

CHALLENGE

Our client needed a solution that could effectively and efficiently operate company systems by ensuring a robust and sustainable data architecture.

SOLUTION

Created and maintained a data architecture that supports warehouse requirements which provide for expansion given budgetary constraints and availability of data and skilled resources. We also led the creating, enforced standards and procedures for bringing in application sources to ensure integration of system through data-warehouse design.

KEY DELIVERABLES

  • Ensure that each application database system data-load into the data-warehouse is operating properly and meets the company processing requirements.
  • Worked to minimize database ETL jobs downtime, monitor, fine-tunes, creating new processes to audit the job performance.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the data on Genesys, LDR/Guidewire, PDR/mainframe DB2 and warehouse tables.

CASE STUDY 3

CHALLENGE

Our client, a dental practice’s current way of assessing lab costs requires manually finding data points in QuickBooks and reviewing P&L statements to find the necessary information. Our client pulls paper invoices from Paychex and does manual calculations to isolate these expenditures. This process was said to be time-consuming and lead to errors and loss of information.

SOLUTION

Create a report that accurately tracks lab costs, supplies overhead and labor costs. This report would also provide a collections comparison (comparing actual income in QuickBooks to Dentrix “collections”).

KEY DELIVERABLES

  • To ease the process of reviewing financials for our client by creating a custom-made dashboard based on data from their dental practice.
  • Provided the client with the ability to view and examine their lab costs, procedure costs, budgeted versus actual costs, patient data, and more regularly.
  • Provided the ability to allow the client to look at their data weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually, allowing them to truly manage and maximize their profits.
  • Eliminated the need for our client to manually calculate or report on their financials.

CASE STUDY 4

CHALLENGE

Our client was unable to see how many leads/candidates they were staffing were being placed into companies. Their data source did not have the ability to view this visually or in report form.

SOLUTION

To extract their data by creating and developing an API connector for their data source, Bullhorn, allowing us entrance to then be able to examine, analyze, break down, and create a report on their data.

KEY DELIVERABLES

  • To ease the process of viewing their staffing placemen record in a single custom-made dashboard.
  • Created and developed our own API connector to extract their staffing data from their data source.
  • Enabled our client with the ability to interact, refresh, and be up-to-date with their staffing metrics.

CASE STUDY 5

CHALLENGE

Our client’s current way of viewing their staffing data and reporting did not show them how long the process took from receiving a job order to finding the candidate to placing them in a company. Their internal staffing process and status changes within their data source were not reported.

SOLUTION

Used our API connector to extract data from our client’s data source and implement hourly resolution pulls. We provided the ability for the client to see the status changes of a job order as well as the candidate’s statuses (includes phone screens, interviews, etc.) and where the candidate was placed.

KEY DELIVERABLES

  • Enhanced and developed our own API connector to extract their staffing data from their data source.
  • Enabled our client with the ability to interact, refresh, and be up-to-date with their staffing metrics.
  • Specifically created a funnel visual so the client was able to see how long their internal staffing process took from the job order to the placement.

CHALLENGE

Our client needed a solution to assist with a complex Data Warehouse project in manufacturing, where the data was coming from many sources and formats in several geographic regions and needed to be assimilated into one reporting “source of truth”.

SOLUTION

We created innovative tools for data acquisition and monitoring, which transformed the disparate data sources into one standardized data stream, and then built highly visible and enterprise level reports for stakeholders to watch key performance indicators (KPIs) of their manufacturing output.

KEY DELIVERABLES

  • Partnered with IT and business leaders to understand the target data sources at a deep level, and the KPIs that they were most interested in.
  • Built several innovative tools to extract data from disparate sources into Azure storage areas, transform the data into a standardized schema, and load it into the Data Warehouse.
  • Created a “Freshness” report so that any user could always know the freshness of any particular data source.
  • Aligned with BI team members to define consolidated report solutions that captured the most important KPIs, to replace data-specific reporting in silos of each individual data source.
  • Once the reports were delivered, provided training, documentation and videos of how the data as assembled, so that users of one of the source data systems could trace the lineage of data in the Data Warehouse
  • Created the necessary SQL objects and views to support a range of ad-hoc and standard reports/dashboard in Power BI data sets.
  • Continuously responded to customer/stakeholder’s feature requests and feedback.

CHALLENGE

Our client, a dynamic and growing staffing agency, faced the challenge of managing multiple data sources and manual systems to support its operations. The use of disconnected offline/manual systems, including new hire forms, finance billing spreadsheets, and director spreadsheets, created inefficiencies and hindered near real-time visibility into critical business insights. Additionally, the absence of automated reporting tools made it difficult to extract valuable information for decision-making. Our client needed a comprehensive solution to streamline data management, improve operational efficiency, and enable informed strategic decisions. They had existing systems like Bullhorn but were not utilizing them effectively, and often were falling back to offline spreadsheets.

SOLUTION

Chameleon Consulting partnered with our client to implement a holistic data integration and reporting strategy. The goal was to leverage modern technologies to automate processes, enhance data accuracy, and empower stakeholders with timely, actionable insights. The following steps were undertaken to address the challenges:

  1. Bullhorn Integration:
    • Custom fields were set up in Bullhorn, replicating the new hire list and accommodating Dayforce integration.
    • Existing and past new hire data were imported into Bullhorn placements, ensuring data consistency and accuracy.
  2. Automated Notifications:
    • An automated email system was established to notify relevant parties whenever a new hire and important field changes were entered into Bullhorn, promoting timely communication.
  3. Data Extraction and Integration:
    • Data extraction mechanisms were implemented, granting access to Bullhorn and Dayforce data through APIs.
    • Data from Bullhorn and Dayforce were integrated into Power BI reports, enabling seamless access to critical information.
  4. Automated Power BI Reports:
    • A suite of automated Power BI reports was developed, including “new hires,” “fielded employees,” and “commissions.”
    • These reports provided our client with up-to-date insights into candidate placements, employee status, and commission tracking.
  5. Project Management and Oversight:
    • A dedicated Project Manager oversaw the entire initiative, from business requirements gathering to project communication and time and billing oversight.
    • Detailed project planning ensured the timely execution of tasks and efficient resource allocation.
    • All tasks were logged with accurate descriptions to provide full transparency during the course of the project.
