Job #2556: Chameleon Technologies is searching for a Senior Software Engineer with a focus on front-end development.  The software development team is currently made up of the Development Manager, a Principal Software Engineer, and a team of Senior Software Engineers.  There’s an offshore team that supplements our efforts.  The existing teams are tasked with developing new features on our CRM and consumer, public-facing websites.  We are looking for an individual who is excited to bring their strong development skills onto this team, as well as help us keep up with the needs of our business and partners.

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Software Engineer focusing on front-end development. You have full stack experience and the desire to work on a highly agile, collaborative development team.  You will quickly come up to speed on our tech stack and our products.  You want to build new features and help us adopt new technologies.  You will quickly gain deep domain knowledge as you help design and build out features and integrations.  This is a “Hands-On” position and requires daily design and coding activities.  You will think critically to develop new features for our products, and participate with our team of developers on ongoing project assignments.


You will be working side by side with your fellow software engineers, our product managers, our QA engineers, and the operations team.  You will develop creative, efficient solutions in both broad collaborative and deep individual efforts.  You believe in creating an excellent user experience and want to drive our products to have a consistent and clean UI.


What will make you successful in this role is your ability to be a critical thinker and problem solver while considering technical and business needs, requirements and trade-offs.  You calmly and objectively deal with challenges.  You must be a great team player and collaborator, and be motivated, self-driven, and demonstrate creative thinking capabilities.  And you must have strong communication skills with an ability to explain and write clear technical designs and ideas to peers, QA, and management team members.

You will be an expert in our platform’s technologies.  We trust our experts, and expect you to help determine the best course of action.  You are a self-starter that is as comfortable working with your team as you are working solo in times of deep thought.

Required Skills:

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience in developing and delivering high quality web applications.
  • 6+ years of technical object-oriented front-end and middle-tier development programming experience in languages such as AngularJS, CSS, HTML5, C#, and PHP; full-stack development experience is a preference. Proficient in SQL and understanding of relational database and schema creation.
  • Experience with JSON and RESTful web services.
  • 6+ years of experience performing peer code reviews, defect analysis, and writing unit tests and test tools.
  • Proven track record of delivering high quality, scalable software with a cohesive user experience.
  • Must be a top-notch, creative problem solver.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both within a team and cross-group to drive identification and resolution of issues to ship under tight deadlines.
  • Must be highly motivated with a strong passion for and commitment to software quality.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage work to meet critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to make and influence decisions, and drive open discussions to closure.
  • Must excel in both individual and group settings.
  • BS in Computer Science or Engineering or related field preferred.
