We are looking for a strong IT Support/Systems Engineer to join a long-standing, growth-oriented commercial construction firm in the Pacific Northwest. The firm is modernizing its technology environment and moving portions of its infrastructure to the cloud. The company has a collaborative culture and is employee-owned, with close to one hundred employees across multiple sites.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a senior level, hands on IT professional who thrives in an independent, solutions driven setting. You will be the primary onsite technical resource managing day to day IT operations, supporting end users, maintaining hardware and software, and contributing to infrastructure initiatives. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to make a direct and lasting impact through special projects, process improvements, and forward looking technology recommendations. The role supports approximately fifty users across headquarters and satellite locations, with a blend of in person and remote support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 1 through Tier 3 technical support to internal users
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows desktops, laptops, servers, and core software
- Support business critical platforms including Sage and Procore
- Assist with infrastructure initiatives, including migration to cloud services
- Monitor system performance, manage backups, and maintain security protocols
- Document systems, processes, and recurring issues to support scalability
- Occasionally assist with light technical tasks outside core IT, such as updating website images or content and supporting basic digital or marketing technology needs
- Offer support in person at headquarters and remotely for satellite offices and job sites
- Occasionally lift and transport IT equipment up to fifty pounds
Basic Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS versions 7, 8, and 10, Windows Server 2012 and 2016, and Microsoft domain environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong organization and time management
- Self starter who can work independently and troubleshoot effectively
- Reliable transportation for periodic travel to other offices or job sites
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Active Directory
- Familiarity with Cisco networking, command line experience preferred
- Relevant degree or certifications such as MCP or MCSE or equivalent
- Experience with remote management tools such as Kaseya or ConnectWise
- Prior support experience in construction, architecture, or engineering environments
