Senior Civil Engineer
Chameleon Technologies is partnering with LinkMe LLC to help a leading civil engineering firm hire a licensed professional engineer with 10 or more years of experience. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful, authentic, and dynamic firm that offers civil engineering and land use planning services to a broad range of clients and project types. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, flexible, and eager to learn new skills. This energetic and nimble firm allows employees to work on a variety of tasks without the pigeonholing and stagnation that can occur at larger traditional firms.

Location:
Downtown Tacoma – a vibrant, walkable area with convenient access to public transportation (streetcar and bus located on the same block). The office features a new onsite gym and beautifully renovated common areas.
Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Professional Engineer (PE) License (Washington State preferred, but not required)

AutoCAD Civil 3D experience

Bluebeam Revu experience
-
Stormwater modeling experience using WWHM and other software

Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering

Typical Job Tasks:
-
Lead and manage projects from concept through construction

Mentor junior staff and support a collaborative team environment

Conduct project research related to regulatory requirements, existing utilities, and reports from other consultants

Design and review site plans, site grading, water, sewer, and storm drainage systems within the Civil 3D environment

Prepare and review design calculations and reports

Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, municipalities, and regulatory agencies

Assist in preparing proposals, budgets, and monitoring project financials

Stay current with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements
